What is an automation device?
A device uses one slot in your plan when Optimaatti controls it automatically: by price, temperature, schedule or predictive control.
- Meters, sensors and manually controlled devices do not use slots. You can connect as many as you like.
- A multi-output device, such as a four-channel relay, is one device. All of its outputs are available.
- Lights and light automations do not use slots. They are included in the Home and Pro plans.

Why is the app free?
We are improving the service with feedback from real homes. That is why all features are free through the end of 2026.
How long will beta testing last?
Free use continues through December 31, 2026. Paid subscriptions start on January 1, 2027. Your current use will not become paid automatically; you must select a subscription separately.
How many devices can I use?
You can connect as many devices as you like. A plan only limits automation devices, meaning devices that Optimaatti controls automatically. Example: a water heater, two floor heating circuits and a car heater are four automation devices. During the free period the limit is 5. From the start of 2027, Free includes 1, Home 20 and Pro 100 automation devices. Contact us if you need more now.
