Pricing & VAT

This page tells the service what kind of electricity contract you have. When these values are correct, your cost and savings numbers are easier to trust.

1

Why does this page matter?

Cost analysis and savings reports do not know your contract details automatically. You need to enter them here once.

  • VAT and surcharges affect every cost number shown in reports
  • These settings are user-specific and can be changed any time
  • They do not change the spot price itself, only how your total cost is calculated
2

Where should you start?

Start with three things: VAT, the fixed comparison price and any monthly or energy-based surcharges.

  • Open Pricing & VAT in the app
  • Fill in the values you can clearly confirm from your contract or bill
  • Save the changes and return to Cost analysis

Key fields in plain language

For most users, it is enough to get these few fields right first. You do not need to perfect every detail immediately.

  • Apply VAT and surcharges: turn this on if you want the calculation to resemble your real bill
  • VAT %: use the same percentage shown in your contract or bill
  • Fixed price (c/kWh): this is the comparison price used against spot pricing
  • Monthly fees and surcharges: add them if you want a more realistic total-cost comparison
4

Why can VAT appear in two places?

The app may show one VAT value for displaying spot prices and another for your own calculations. For comparisons, the important one is your user-specific VAT setting.

  • Global VAT usually affects only how the spot price is displayed
  • Cost analysis uses your own VAT and surcharge settings in the calculation
  • If the comparison looks wrong, check this page before deeper troubleshooting
