How to connect Tuya devices to Optimaatti
Three easy steps:
1. Add device to Smart Life app
Install the device according to manufacturer instructions and add it to the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
2. Connect Tuya account to Optimaatti
In Optimaatti settings, select "Add connection" → "Tuya/Smart Life" and sign in with your Tuya account.
3. Sync devices
Optimaatti will automatically fetch all devices from your Smart Life account. Choose which ones you want to control.
Does my device work?
If your device works with the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app, it also works with Optimaatti. Many manufacturers use the Tuya platform under their own brand names.
Check if your device is compatible: open it in the Smart Life app. If it shows there, it works with Optimaatti.
Tuya or Shelly?
Tuya devices are affordable and widely available, but require a cloud connection. Shelly devices work locally via MQTT and offer faster control and offline scheduling.
